Create a quote from the quantities

Link the quantity list to your price list and export a finished quote.

Quote and sharing6 min7 steps
  1. 1

Type the company name in Settings

Click the account button with your initials at the top right and pick Settings. Fill in the field Company and click Save changes.

Worth knowing. The name goes under the heading on the quote PDF and as a row of its own, Company, in the CSV file. Leave the field empty and nothing stands there.

  2. 2

Open Export in the drawing view

Have the project with the quantities open. Click Export in the toolbar at the top.

  3. 3

    Pick Create quote

The row sits at the bottom of the menu, under the divider. The dialogue Create quote opens.

Worth knowing. If the row is greyed out you have either not measured anything yet, or the account is read-only after the 30 days of the free period.

  4. 4

Pick which price list is to apply

Pick the list in the dropdown Price list. The number of parts stands in brackets after the name.

Worth knowing. If it says No price list yet you have not uploaded one. Click Upload price list, put your CSV in and come back here.

  5. 5

Put right the rows that have no part

Rows without a part are marked red and are not priced. Open the dropdown in the column Part and pick the right part under Fits the size.

Worth knowing. If you deliberately want to leave a row unpriced, pick No part selected. The row stays with its quantity but is not counted into the sum.

  6. 6

    Check the sum

The box at the bottom right shows Subtotal ex VAT, VAT 25 % and Total inc. VAT.

Worth knowing. The figures in the column Quantity incl. waste already hold the waste allowance. Do not add waste a second time in your own calculation.

  7. 7

    Export the quote

Click Export PDF for the file you send to the client. Export CSV gives the same rows to Excel.

Worth knowing. On Gratis every page of the PDF is stamped and the CSV file gets a watermark row at the top. The button Export XML only shows on a paid plan.
