Draw reinforcement (straight bar)

Click out the line the bars follow and get metres of reinforcement per size.

Foundations5 min6 steps
  1. 1

Pick Rebar in the tool rail

The tool only exists on a foundation drawing. If it is grey, the drawing is still a drainage drawing.

  2. 2

    Click out the line

Click along the stretch the bars lie on, just as when you draw a pipe run. Double-click or press Enter when the line is done.

Worth knowing. What you click out is the LINE, not a single bar. How many bars go along it is what the tool asks about in the next step.

  3. 3

Pick the size in the box Straight bar along the line

The box shows how long the line came out. Pick a Bar diameter, 6 to 32 mm, and type how many bars go along it.

  4. 4

    Add more in another size

If both Ø12 and Ø16 go along the same line, press Add another diameter and fill in the next row. Every row counts on its own.

Worth knowing. The box totals it all at the bottom: Total of X m of reinforcement bar. Check it against the drawing before you save.

  5. 5

    Save

Press Save. The line lands in Drawn and measured, and the metres in the quantity list per size.

  6. 6

    Change it afterwards

Click the row in Drawn and measured to select it. There you change the size and the number, or delete the reinforcement.
